A Look at Viewership Crossover for NBCUniversal Cable Properties

Next week, NBCUniversal will take the stage in New York City for its annual Upfront. Using insights from Inscape, the TV data company with glass-level insights from a panel of more than 10 million smart TVs, we examined viewership crossover for some of its most popular cable properties: USA Network, Bravo, Syfy, MSNBC and NBC Sports. A note about methodology: You have to do more than just flip past a station with your remote to count as a “crossover viewer” in Inscape’s system. For the data below, the minimum viewing threshold is 2 minutes and the date range is Jan 1 through Apr 26, 2019.

The highest crossover is between Syfy and USA: 64% of Syfy viewers have also watched USA, while 55% of USA viewers have tuned into Syfy. Behind that: 60% of Bravo fans have watched USA, while 44% of USA viewers have also tuned into Bravo. Only 19% of Syfy watchers have viewed MSNBC, and only 19% of USA Network viewers have watched MSNBC.
