NBA Audiences Tune in for Local Teams

Who watched the NBA’s Conference Finals this year? Plenty of folks around the country — but with one Canadian team (the Toronto Raptors), two smaller markets (Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers) and the defending champion Golden State Warriors involved, the U.S. map did look a bit localized. The heatmap for most of both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals stayed pretty focused on the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland DMA and the state of Wisconsin.
